DAC (District Advisory Committee)

As a part of the receipt of EIA (Economic Impact Aid) funds from the State of California, the District must have a District Advisory Committee or DAC.  The DAC's function is to serve in an advisory capacity on the District's administration of EIA funds.  EIA funds are the state equivalent of federal Title I funds ~ and are intended to be allocated to sites based on concentration of students representing three different areas of need:  SED (Socio-Economically Disadvantaged); LEP (Limited English Proficient); and/or EDY (Educationally Disadvantaged Youth).

  • EDY - Educationally Disadvantaged Youth - Students not yet reaching proficiency on English Language Arts and/or Mathematics sections of annual standardized testing.
