The Transition Partnership Program (TPP) builds partnerships between local education agencies and the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) for the purposes of successfully transitioning high school students with disabilities into meaningful employment. TPP helps students overcome barriers to employment, assistance may include direct job development, vocational training, or post-secondary education.

  • Students are referred to the DOR usually by the TPP staff.
  • This program's focus is to evaluate students as TPP/DOR clients, complete DOR services application, health questionnaire and employment history.

  • Once accepted by the DOR, student/client may receive monetary and counseling assistance in vocational training and/or extended schooling for the purpose of employment. (limitations may apply)
  • Qualified students/clients may continue to receive employment services with TPP/DOR after graduation or leaving high school.
  • TPP is a work based program.
