Welcome to the Western Placer Unified School District. You will find our schools to be warm and welcoming places that will provide both nurture and challenge to assist your child in achieving his or her highest academic potential.
WPUSD is home to eleven schools that serve the Lincoln and Sheridan communities. Included in the district are seven elementary schools, two middle schools, one comprehensive high school, and one continuation high school. Click here to link to the School Site Websites.
During the school year, registration materials can be obtained from and returned to each school office. If you are unsure which school your child will be attending, please click here for attendance boundary maps or feel free to call the District Office at 645-6350 or the Transportation Department at 645-6346.
During the summer months, registration materials can be obtained from our District Office at 600 6th Street, Suite 400 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Completed registration materials must be returned to the school sites when they reopen for the coming year.

Kindergarten Registration
For 2012 - 2013 School Year
Welcome to Western Placer Unified School District! We're excited to have your child enrolling at one of our elementary schools.
In order to be prepared for your child's enrollment process, please read the following information.
There IS A CHANGE to the age of enrollment for kindergarten children for the 2012/2013 school year. A child must be five years of age on or before November 1, 2012 to be enrolled in kindergarten in the fall.
2012/13 - 5 years of age on or before November 1
2013/14 - 5 years of age on or before October 1
2014/15 - 5 years of age on or before September 1
We WILL BE OFFERING Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for children who turn five on or between November 2 and December 2, 2012. This new district program will be located at Twelve Bridges Elementary School. To enroll, simply pick up, complete, and return the Kindergarten Registration packet as indicated below through your HOME ELEMENTARY SCHOOL OFFICE. TK is considered to be the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program.

Kindergarten registration will occur at individual elementary school sites.
Families may pick up the kindergarten registration packet from the elementary school office of their attendance area beginning March 5, 2012.
Families may return completed packets to school sites beginning Tuesday, March 13, 2012 (not before.)

Immunizations must be current when the completed materials are turned in. If only the FINAL required immunization (polio, DPT, MMR) is incomplete, the school will accept the packet, but the child may not be enrolled in a class until all the immunizations are complete. Exceptions to the immunization requirement must be approved by the District Nurse.
